Program IDENTITIES is the first program of the Science Fund designed to support scientific research in the fields of social sciences and humanities.
The Program supports activities that are of public interest to the Republic of Serbia. Its planning and implementation are in accordance with the law and other regulations concerning scientific research and innovation activities.
The objectives of the Program are: to encourage excellence and relevance of scientific research in Serbia in the field of social sciences and humanities; affirm the importance of social sciences and humanities for education and society at large; and improvement of international visibility and cooperation within the relevant scientific field.
The subject of the program can be the theoretical and empirical systematization of scientific knowledge necessary for (re)defining the content, form, and determinants of identity and the importance of social and cultural identities for creating public policies and government decision-making in the Republic of Serbia.
The Program is aligned with the goals of scientific research, in terms of creating new knowledge to encourage social, cultural, artistic, and economic development. The aim of the research is to preserve and affirm national identity as a part of civilizational heritage and focus on social challenges and priorities.
Total budget of the Program: €2,000,000.
Maximum amount per project: up to €150,000.
Project duration: 24 months

Financing for the Program is provided through the budget of the Republic of Serbia (Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation).
