Science Fund Attends Public Discussion on the Strategy Proposal for Science, Technological Development and Innovation for 2026–2030

Acting Director of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr. Darija Kisić, attended the public discussion on the Strategy Proposal for Science, Technological Development and Innovation for the 2026–2030 period, accompanied by the Action Plan for 2026–2028, held on 10 July 2026 at the premises of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad.

Members of the working group presented the key objectives and strategic directions of the Strategy Proposal, emphasizing that the new Strategy will focus on establishing a stable and sustainable research and innovation system, strengthening excellence in science, and enhancing its contribution to addressing socio-economic challenges. The proposed document also highlights the importance of key priority areas, including agriculture, medicine, biotechnology, energy, environmental protection, information technologies, and national heritage.

Concluding the public consultation, Minister Academician Bela Balint thanked the participants for their active engagement and constructive proposals, stressing that the new Strategy will serve as a foundation for the further development of science, technological development, and innovation in the Republic of Serbia.
