The public call for the new Science Fund programme, Science for Industry – Application of Artificial Intelligence in Industry through Scientific Partnerships: “From Lab to Market”, has been successfully concluded, with a total of 214 project proposals submitted.

The significant interest in the programme demonstrates that the scientific and business communities in Serbia are not only committed to collaboration but are already actively working together to develop new scientific solutions with practical applications.

Connecting scientific ideas with the resources and expertise of companies enables the development of innovative products and services that leverage advanced technologies to address contemporary challenges across various sectors of the economy. The programme recognises the importance of fostering such partnerships, which contribute to long-term, knowledge-based economic growth.

The submitted project proposals indicate that Serbian researchers are prepared to transfer scientific results directly from the laboratory to the market. Research teams are focused on developing solutions based on artificial intelligence and innovative technologies that can be applied in industry, energy, environmental protection, agriculture, biotechnology, healthcare and biomedicine, transport, creative industries, and many other fields.

Throughout the duration of the public call, the Science Fund team provided active support to all interested applicants during the preparation and submission process by responding to enquiries received via email and by publishing a guide containing answers to the most frequently asked questions submitted during the call.
