Program for Еxcellent Projects of Young Researchers and Scientists in the Early Stage of Career – PROMIS 2023 is intended to support excellent projects of young researchers and scientists in the early stages of their careers, up to 7 years after finishing the PhD.
The program supports basic and applied research in all scientific fields. Projects within this Program do not have predetermined topics.
The goal of the Program is to enable young researchers to define their own research programs, form their own teams and cooperate with laboratories and research centers in Serbia and the world. Also, the goal is to strengthen the professional capacities of young PhDs, train young researchers to apply for research and development projects at the national and international level, especially in the European Union, and to support the scientific research work of the young academic community, which will have an impact and significance for social development and the economy.
Researchers employed in Scientific Research Organisations (SROs) in the Republic of Serbia can apply for the program.

Total budget of the Program: EUR 4,000,000.
Maximum budget per project: EUR 150,000.
Project duration: Up to 24 months.
Program status: Implementation of 30 projects funded within program.
The Public Call for this Program was opened on 8th May 2023. The Call was closed on 10th July 2023.
Financing for the Program is provided by the Republic of Serbia (Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation), through a World Bank loan with implementation support, and the European Union, through a grant contribution. The activities are part of the “Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Growth Entrepreneurship Project” (SAIGE Project), dedicated to strengthening innovative entrepreneurship and scientific research.
