Exhibition dedicated to scientific projects in the field of artificial intelligence was opened by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with the Center for the Promotion of Science on the Sava Promenade at the Kalemegdan park on October 9.
The exhibition shows twelve scientific projects supported by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia – Program for Development of Projects in the Field of Artificial Intelligence.
Artificial intelligence is more than just a standalone technology. The use of artificial intelligence has surged in last decade and it is expected that in the not so-distant future most technology and business will incorporate or harness some form of AI.
The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia will financially support 12 research projects of the Program for Development of Projects in the Field of Artificial Intelligence, in the next two years. The goal of this Program is to encourage scientific research and strengthen capacities of Serbian science community in the field of artificial intelligence, as well to improve the quality of life of each individual and the society.
These complex research projects now are presented through artistic prism at the exhibition – illustrations of some of the best Serbian illustrators, who combined art and science on creative and imaginative way.
Illustrations represent scientific research which will be applicable in the fields of ecology, environmental protection, industry, technology, agriculture and communications. In the next two years, Serbian scientists will use artificial intelligence for developing a software system for agriculture, creating analytical tools for electrical savings, creating algorithms for developing a digital assistant, developing more reliable blockchain technologies, recommending measures to reduce air pollution and for other useful purposes.
At the opening of the exhibition the principal investigators and members of the project teams have shared their scientific experiences, have explained goals, challenges and results of their research in the field of artificial intelligence. This exhibition shows the potential of the Serbian scientific community in the development of Artificial Intelligence.
The exhibition is opened until 23rd October.
