The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia organised its first meeting with researchers in Niš, with the aim of discussing achieved results, past cooperation with the scientific community, as well as the Fund’s plans and activities in the upcoming period.
At the meeting, Acting Director of the Science Fund, Prof. Dr. Daria Kisić, presented the Fund’s activities and results to representatives of the scientific community in Niš, with particular emphasis on the development of science in Serbia. Prof. Dr. Kisić highlighted that the state has clearly recognised the importance of science and its development, which is especially evident in financial and infrastructural investments in research and innovation.
The meeting also addressed the Science Fund’s ongoing programmes, the project evaluation process, the selection and work of reviewers, international projects, as well as the possibility of opening a Science Fund office in Niš. Discussions also covered the presentation of results from projects supported through the Fund’s programmes that are in the final phase of implementation, as well as the organisation of training for researchers in the field of science communication.
Acting Director of the Science Fund, Prof. Dr. Daria Kisić, expressed her gratitude to the researchers for sharing their experiences and putting forward numerous suggestions and ideas during the meeting, noting that this reflects their strong commitment to science and research activities.
The meeting, organised in cooperation with the Science and Technology Park Niš, was also attended by a member of the Science Fund’s Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Vladislav Volarević.
