Solve has launched the open call Global Challenges 2019, focused on the following challenges:

• Circular economy: How can people create and consume goods that are renewable, repairable, reusable, and recyclable?

• Community-driven innovation: How can citizens and communities create and improve social inclusion and shared prosperity?

• Early childhood development: How can all children under five develop the critical learning and cognitive skills they need to reach their full potential?

• Healthy cities: How can urban residents design and live in environments that promote physical and mental health?

Solve seeks new technological solutions for solving the chosen challenges. All interested innovators around the world can send their solutions by July 1, 2019. The finalists of the competition will be invited to present their solutions within the Solve Challenge finals that will be held on September 22, 2019 in New York during the week of the UN General Assembly.

Respected challenge leaders will choose the best solutions that will form 2019 Solver Class.

Selected teams will join a community consisting of experts and investors who will help the teams to improve their work. Teams will obtain mentoring and strategic advice from the Solve and MIT network, attend the main Solve event at the MIT in May 2020 and receive a Solve grant of $10,000, as well as access to the significant additional financial resources of their partners.

Over the past two years, Solve has supported its teams with over 7 million euros of funds, as well as with mentoring support, technical expertise, media and conference presentations, business and entrepreneurial training.
